Stevie and I met exactly one year ago at transfer student orientation. She was actually the first person I met when I moved to New York. Sitting behind the outgoing, pretty girl with braids in that awkward auditorium of mid-year transfer students was the best decision I ever made. The first thing she said to me was, “What’s your Instagram?” and the rest is history.
As of about two nights ago, Stevie and I are roommates. I interviewed her while we drank cheap sauvignon blanc and she applied makeup in our charming little bathroom.
